2D Laser Engraving Laser Marking has opened the door to new generation of marking capabilities. If you can print it, now we can mark it. Laser Engraving These graduation lines are precisely located and Laser Engraved on this metering device. Laser Engraving is recommended in this application to achieve a permanent, crisp legible and yet a very small character size. Laser Marking is superior to Metal Stamping, Engraving and Chemical Etching on heat-treated parts. Rotary Engraving on 45" Round
These 45” diameter “Calibration Rings” are engraved around the periphery with sequential numbers and graduation lines. The large diameter is too large to fit is a standard 32” bed machine. Therefore Universal Metal Marking developed a platform engraving system. Utilizing a 3-ton overhead bridge crane we have successfully designed a system to rotary engrave around the periphery of a 4000 pound aluminum billet. |

Pantograph Engraving
Pantograph Engraving and Router Engraving is done on a wide variety of Flat, Round, or Irregular Shaped Parts at Universal Metal Marking. Here you see Sequential Numbers and Graduation Lines precisely engraved around the periphery of a large diameter calibration ring. In this application UMMCO utilizes a 3-ton overhead bridge crane to hoist a machine to accommodate the parts. In a similar application this lifting capacity is used to gently nest an 1800 Lbs. die into this 300 Lbs. capacity machine.

2D Engraved Dies Two Dimensional, 2D, Engraving is used to produce a copy of an original. Universal Metal Marking can reproduce Antique Fonts, Character Style or Custom Designs from your Custom Originals. These Reproduction Dies are most valuable when the Original Die is available but the Original Artwork and Pattern are lost. These Reproduction, or Replica Dies can be manufactured in Aluminum, Brass, Magnesium or Tool Steel and can be used in Hot Stamping, Branding, Stamping or Roll Stamping applications. Stencil Engraving
Stencil Engraving and Stencil Cutting, Numbers, Letters, Characters and Symbols are available in most any size. Stencils are available in Brass, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Mylar and the traditional Oil Board. Here you see an example of 8” characters cut into .060 Aluminum, and .125” Characters and Symbols Engraved into .015” Brass. Universal Metal Marking can produce stencils for the most rugged, high production applications where the stencil must survive multiple cleanings.
